Asset Protection Specialist We are seeking an Asset Protection Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for protecting company assets and ensuring a safe shopping environment for customers. This role requires a resourceful individual who can adapt quickly to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for identifying and apprehending shoplifters and dishonest employees using surveillance techniques, providing de-escalation tools to ensure a safe environment for customers and colleagues, recovering stolen merchandise, conducting research and providing statements and evidence to support investigations, preparing reports on theft incidents, investigations, and audits, maintaining strict compliance with laws and company policies regarding apprehensions, searches, and evidence preservation, building partnerships with store colleagues and outside groups, such as law enforcement, testifying in court for criminal and civil cases, training colleagues on protocols to protect company assets, responding to alarm conditions and working on special assignments, and providing first aid to customers and colleagues. To succeed in this role, you must have flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular attendance and punctuality, effective communication and information-sharing with diverse groups of customers and peers, ability to work independently and as part of a team, ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, trainings, and certifications, and high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, you must be able to physically perform the demands of the job, which include walking and standing for extended periods, bursts of quick movement, apprehending subjects in accordance with company policy, hearing, close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus, occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching above eye level, ability to spend long periods in enclosed areas, lifting and moving items up to 30 pounds.
