Job Position: Certified School Nurse - RN

Schedule: Part-time, flexible schedule; about 10 hours/week

Hourly compensation: Starting at $40/hour

Location: Rochester, MN 55902

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform comprehensive health assessments and screenings for special education evaluations

• Provide necessary training to school staff on seizures, complete asthma action plans, seizure action plans, evacuation plans, and provide information for evaluations

• Formulate, execute, and oversee Individual Health Plans (IHPs) and 504 Plans

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, community organizations, educational institutions, and families to facilitate the academic access of students with health conditions

• Collaborate harmoniously with the faculty and staff of the institution in delivering healthcare services to all students

• Maintain precise documentation

• Ensure confidentiality by adhering to the Federal regulations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current Minnesota School Nurse License with PELSB (Tier 3 or Tier 4)

• Bachelor Degree in Nursing

• Current Minnesota License as a Registered Nurse

• Public Health Nurse Certified
