The role of the Advanced Practitioner involves delivering high-quality patient care in a clinical setting. This encompasses routine and complex care, with a focus on achieving long-range goals or plans. Responsibilities: Meet expectations of established competencies: leadership, collaboration, and professional growth. Provide nursing care utilizing a structured approach, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.
