SMV Recruiting is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dietitian for our client located in Syracuse, NY. Ideally, they are looking for someone who is a certified Nutritionist with a Masters degree. However, also consider someone who has a Bachelor's degree with the intent to pursue their Master's degree and who is qualified to pursue their CDN (certified Dietitian Nutritionist certification). This is a excellent opportunity to apply foundational nutrition knowledge in clinical, community, or food service settings working with children. This is a direct hire role, with an opportunity to work in a team environment to support the community and work with children and also under a well educated certified Nutritionist preceptor. Responsibilities: Conduct nutritional assessments and develop individualized meal plans under the supervision of a senior dietitian, tailored to clients or patients specific needs and goals Educate clients or patients on healthy eating habits, disease prevention, and dietary modifications using evidence-based guidelines to promote long-term wellness Assist in the design, planning, and implementation of community nutrition programs, workshops, or outreach initiatives to enhance public health awareness Work closely with healthcare teams to support patient care objectives, including monitoring progress, adjusting plans as needed, and documenting outcomes Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, dietary recommendations, and progress in compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards Stay informed on the latest nutrition research, trends, and best practices to enhance professional knowledge and prepare for graduate studies Participate in food service operations as needed, including menu planning, nutritional analysis, and ensuring compliance with established nutritional and safety standards Requirements: Bachelors degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution Demonstrated intent to pursue a Master's degree in Nutrition Eligibility or active pursuit of Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) certification, including completion of required coursework and supervised practice hours (if applicable) Strong foundational understanding of human nutrition, metabolism, and current dietary guidelines Strong understanding of food safety and state regulations Previous experience in a healthcare, wellness, or food service setting (e.g., internships, volunteer work, or related roles), preferred Knowledge of state-specific requirements for CDN certification
