The School-Based Occupational Therapist plays a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience of students. Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized occupational therapy plans for students, addressing specific deficits and areas of concern.
Evaluate student performance, tracking progress and making data-driven decisions to inform interventions.
Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues, families, and community organizations to optimize support networks for students.
Promote inclusive practices within the school environment, ensuring all students have equal access to opportunities and resources.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, sharing expertise and best practices to enhance student outcomes.
Requirements:
To excel in this role, you should possess:
A Master's or PhD in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
A current Active State License to practice Occupational Therapy.
Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based setting.
Excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
