Emergency Care Specialist The competent nurse practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. They provide routine and complex care, focusing on long-range goals or plans. Key Responsibilities: Nursing Expertise : Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Patient Support : Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Medication Administration : Administer medications and treatments as per protocols, monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness. Documentation : Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Patient Education : Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Requirements: A bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. At least one year of experience in the related nursing specialty is preferred. Credentials and Certifications: An ACLS certification is required within 30 days of hire. A PALS certification is required within 30 days of hire. Work Schedule: TBD Work Type: Full Time
