The Emergency Care Specialist is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating all care for patients admitted to the ED during their shift. To be successful in this role, you should have: A degree from a school of nursing and current licensure as an RN. One year Med/Surg experience preferred. In addition, you should hold the following licenses: A current RN license, which can be a compact license. BLS certification within 30 days of hire, or prior to completion of orientation if before 30 days of hire. ACLS certification within 6 months. PALS certification within 6 months. Advanced Stroke Course certification is preferred.
