Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse Description: This is a unique opportunity to work as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in our dynamic healthcare team. As a key member of our staff, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Responsibilities: Provide general nursing care to patients and administer treatments in accordance with established standards. Assist with the preparation of equipment and aid providers during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. Observe, record, and report patients' conditions and reactions to medications or treatments to providers. Oversee appointment bookings and ensure timely flow of patients. Greet patients, obtain well-documented histories, and vitals, prepare patients for physical exams, and instruct them on collection of samples and tests. Perform various tasks such as obtaining vital signs, performing initial assessments, coordinating patient transfers, giving telephone orders, accepting test results, performing telephone triage, calling in prescriptions, collecting specimens, catheterizing patients, and administering oxygen. May perform additional tasks under supervision, including drawing blood, administering injections, and processing biopsies. Formulate and update patient care plans, review patients' tests and exam results with providers, and document instructions. Maintain accurate patient records and other information in compliance with policies and procedures. Prepare exam rooms, restock treatment areas, and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Participate in professional development activities, maintain licensure and affiliations, and adhere to CHRISTUS Physician Group's code of conduct and confidentiality requirements.
