Job Summary: The Healthcare Professional provides care that is grounded in a deep understanding of all relevant aspects of a situation. This individual is responsible for delivering routine and complex care, with the ability to set long-range goals or plans. They continue to develop their ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for making appropriate assignments and delegating to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation. Key Responsibilities: Meet the expectations of the applicable competencies: leadership and collaboration. Utilize the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients. Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.
