Under the direction of the Operations Manager Linen Services, the Linen Services Coordinator responsibilities include inventory management, purchasing, and quality control for all departments using linen, lab coats, scrubs, curtains, and slings throughout the Institute (Chestnut Hill, Longwood, and regional offices). The Linen Services Coordinator upholds the linen and lab coat standards and works collaboratively across the institute to meet performance expectations.
Stays informed about changes in regulations and updates practices accordingly.

* Responsible for performing lab coat fittings, submitting lab coat orders to uniform supplier, and delivering linens, lab coats, curtains, scrubs, and slings to assigned storage locations.
* Maintains inventory levels and accurate delivery records for all linens, scrubs, curtains, and slings. Ensures necessary linens are supplied, preventing disruption of normal routine. Collaborates with customers to evaluate usage and costs, as needed.
* In collaboration with Operations Manager, troubleshoots routine problems and inquiries relative to the linen department's functions and operations.
* Assists the Operations Manager in optimizing supply chain performance and efficiency through data analysis, quality control, and cost-saving initiatives.
* Collaborates with Environmental Services involving soiled linen collection and distribution processes as required.
* Participates in department quality improvement/performance improvement processes.
* In conjunction with Operations Manager, champions linen education throughout the facility, assists with schedule and/or facilitates linen education.
* Adheres to health and safety regulations, as well as environmental and linen industry standards.
* May serve as the main point of contact in the absence of Operations Manager, Linen Services
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
* High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
* 2 - 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting required; Linen and lab coat experienced preferred.
* Knowledge of stock control, ordering, and managing linen inventory required.
* Travel between sites required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
* Knowledge of stock control, ordering, and managing linen inventory.
* Knowledge and understanding of the linen distribution systems utilized by the department.
* Understanding of hygiene standards, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
* Effective problem-solving skills to include data analysis and judgment to recommend effective decisions.
* Self-motivated with the ability to effectively prioritize projects and needs.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be concise by phone and in person.
* Excellent internal and external organizational skills, including the ability to multi-task, delegate appropriately and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including inventory and production support software.
