Job Opportunity Pickup and delivery of cargo to and from various destinations, usually within proximity of the consolidation/distribution center. The loading and unloading of trailers using similar techniques, technology, and procedures as a dock worker. Actual duties and schedule may vary depending on terminal location. Key Responsibilities: Load and unload cargo effectively and efficiently. Perform tasks including check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and the pickup and delivery of cargo. Exercise independent judgment regarding trailer setup and operation to optimize time, resources, energy, and physical demands effectively and efficiently, while complying with all weight distribution laws. Other duties assigned by management. Operate a forklift as needed. Complete routine paperwork effectively and log loading sheets properly. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience; training available for candidates with less than 1 year experience. Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements, and no automatic restriction. Minimum age 21 years old. Good stable work record. Safe driving record (from MVR and previous employment). Pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
