About The Position
We are seeking a qualified Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 72-day locum tenens assignment in West Virginia, starting Sep 1, 2025. This role includes daily shifts from Monday through Sunday, 8 am to 8 pm, where the provider will manage a range of urgent care duties. Candidates should be adept with EMR systems, specifically Epic, and ready to handle typical urgent care cases such as minor injuries and common illnesses.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Evaluate and treat patients with common acute conditions, such as colds, flu, rashes, and minor burns
- Perform minor urgent care procedures like splinting, wound care, and managing lacerations and abrasions
- Refer high-acuity cases to appropriate emergency facilities
- Ensure accurate documentation and patient records using the Epic EMR system
- Provide consistent care by working a minimum of 3 shifts per month, up to an estimated 12 shifts per month
Additional Information
- Must have at least 1 year of experience in emergency medicine or 2 years in urgent care settings
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Must hold a valid Physician Assistant license in West Virginia
- Comfortable treating patients of all ages
- Ability to perform orthopedic procedures and manage wound care
