About The Position
We are seeking a Family Practice physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in California. This 75-day assignment begins on 06/30/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing outpatient care for mostly adult patients, with occasional pediatric cases. Responsibilities include managing chronic diseases such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as providing standard primary care services. The physician will see 18-20 scheduled patients per day in a clinic setting, utilizing the Epic EMR system.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide outpatient primary care services for adult patients
• Manage chronic diseases, including diabetes and hypertension
• Conduct routine health screenings and preventive care
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and injuries
• Perform physical examinations
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and treatments as necessary
• Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using Epic EMR
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed
• See 18-20 scheduled patients per day
• Occasionally provide care for pediatric patients when needed
Additional Information:
• California medical license required
• Board Certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine preferred
• Experience in outpatient primary care essential
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage a diverse patient population efficiently
