Fleet Shop Manager Overseeing maintenance team employees and contingent workers involves hiring, mentoring, scheduling, training/development, as well as recommending promotions, disciplines, and terminations. As a Fleet Shop Manager, you will also support teammates in overseeing equipment maintenance and out-of-service equipment at Service Centers. The Job Selection/Shift Bid (JSP) process must be facilitated accurately and on time for shop employees. Ensuring all work orders are closed correctly is crucial to meeting commercial goals. Additionally, monitoring and controlling inventory levels within assigned thresholds ensures shop efficiency and productivity. Your responsibilities include ensuring company procedures and DOT policies are followed by all shop employees. This role requires excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate and motivate others. This position demands a high level of physical fitness. You must be able to frequently lift 50 pounds and occasionally greater than 75 pounds, safely walk and stand for extended periods on loading docks that may not be climate-controlled and could be slippery. Work may involve outdoor tasks in inclement weather.
