SpineSearch is seeking a skilled and compassionate Orthopedic Medical Assistant to support a growing orthopedic practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with patient intake, clinical triage, suture/staple removal, and assisting with orthopedic procedures including casting and bracing. This role is vital to ensuring smooth clinical operations and providing high-quality care to our patients. Key Responsibilities: Perform patient intake including vital signs, medical history, and orthopedic-specific concerns Triage patients and document clinical notes in the EHR system Assist with and perform suture and staple removals Apply and remove orthopedic casts, splints, and braces under physician supervision Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians with procedures and treatments Educate patients on the use and care of orthopedic devices Maintain inventory and sterilization of orthopedic supplies and tools Ensure high standards of patient care, comfort, and confidentiality Qualifications: Completion of Medical Assistant program National Certification, or ability to take exam once hired 2+ years of experience in an orthopedic or surgical setting preferred Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems Experience with casting, bracing, and suture removal required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
