Description:
- Check-in patients;
- Check out patients.
- Provides assistance for patients and/or family members as needed;
- Always provide excellent customer service
- Consistently monitors the schedules to ensure all patients are checked promptly;
- Verify patients' insurances in advance to ensure proper coverage.
- Assesses and evaluates patient flow in the lobbies of all locations;
- Acts as a liaison between the healthcare team and the patients
- Provides technical support for patients in accessing the patient portal;
- Monitors turnaround time for medical records requests.
- Reviews future appointments to minimize errors.
- Processes medical record requests
- Monitors incoming direct messages from outside providers and imports the documents to the patients' electronic charts;
- Monitors and ensures all co-payments and outstanding balances are collected
- Adhere to HIPAA standards
- Patient service-oriented;
- Capacity for high-volume patient interaction
- Good communication skills
- High school education or G.E.D. equivalent
- Previous medical front office experience, preferably two years
- Organizational skills and accuracy required.
- Data entry and telephone communications
- Ability to multitask
