Mindful Healing Works is seeking an experienced, communicative, and compassionate therapist to join our team in supporting the emotional, mental, and physical well-being of our clients. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, structured as fee-for-service. In this role, you will work directly with clients to provide therapeutic support, actively listen to concerns, and offer effective, evidence-based strategies for healing and growth. Therapist Duties and Responsibilities Provide regular individual therapy sessions to clients Build positive, trusting therapeutic relationships Utilize a range of treatment modalities tailored to each client’s needs Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Involve family members or other supports when clinically appropriate Maintain thorough, timely clinical documentation Refer clients to outside services or resources as necessary Uphold strict confidentiality and ethical standards Stay current with licensure, CE requirements, and professional best practices Therapist Requirements and Qualifications Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or related field Active license to practice therapy in the state of Maryland (LCPC, LCSW-C, LGPC, LMSW) Strong communication and active listening skills Proven ability to build rapport and therapeutic alliance Compassionate, client-centered approach Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize caseload Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
