*Aspirus Wisconsin Rapids Hospital *in Wisconsin Rapids, WI is seeking a *OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH SPECIALIST II *to join our *BUSINESS HEALTH* team!*

The Occupational Health Technician assists in the delivery of occupational health and wellness services per Aspirus Business Health programs. Working collaboratively through a team delivery process the Occupational Health Technician provides regulatory employment screening, provider patient care support, maintenance of records, and communication with employers, staff and other departments.
*HOURS: Full Time 1.0 FTE, 80 Hours Biweekly*

Experience/Qualifications*
* Knowledge of medical office standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Current Paramedic, CMA, RMA, or LPN state of Wisconsin or state of Michigan certification or licensure required (based upon location of Business Health Clinic).
* Current BLS certification or obtained within 60 days of hire - All clinical personnel in identified job codes are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) training through independent study, manikin and knowledge testing. An acceptable BLS training program is the Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider course from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Professional Rescuer Program with AED. * CAOHC technician training or obtaining within the first 6 months of hire.
* NIOSH spirometry course completion or obtaining each within the first 6 months of hire.
* Completion of respirator fist testing procedures with in the first 3 months of hire.
* Completion of DOT Drug and Alcohol collection training within the first 3 months of hire.
* Completion of the Aspirus mandated training on PPD placement and reading within the first 3 month of hire.
* Knowledge of organizational policies, regulations, and procedures to administer patient care.
* Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
* Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
* Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
* Skill in preparing and maintaining records and responding to correspondence.
* Skill in developing and maintaining relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
* Ability to maintain quality control standards.
* Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
* Ability to interpret, adapts, and applies guidelines and procedures.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work with frequent interruptions.
* Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
* Skill in developing and maintaining relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public
* Ability for effective teamwork with co-workers.
