Pride Health is hiring a Patient Care Associate to support our client’s medical facility based in New York, NY 10003 . This is a 2 -month assignment with the possibility of a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization! Job Title: Patient Care Associate Location: 10 Union Square East, NY 10003 Pay Rate: $17 to $20 per hour Shift: Days, Monday-Friday (06:30 AM to 2:45 PM). Duration: 02 Months (Contract) with possible extension Key Responsibilities: Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including feeding, bathing, toileting, ambulation, and orientation to the clinical setting. Perform and document vital signs, intake/output, pain assessments, and maintain rounding logs. Conduct clinical procedures, such as specimen collection, venipuncture, EKGs, and post-mortem care under RN supervision. Ensure environmental safety and cleanliness, including trash removal, bed maintenance, and room sanitization. Observe patients under safety watch (e.g., suicide precautions, elopement risk) and maintain isolation protocols as directed. Support dietary services by delivering trays, assisting with menu completion, mixing supplements, and reporting dietary concerns. Perform unit support tasks: transporting patients, using pneumatic tube systems, answering call systems, and assisting with communication boards, records, and discharge logs. Participate in supply and equipment maintenance, and update admission/transfer/discharge systems. Demonstrate respect and responsiveness to the cultural and individual needs of patients, promoting an inclusive and supportive care environment. Shared Duties Across All Units: Greet and assist visitors and staff, answer phones, operate communication systems (e.g., Vocera). Participate in emergency procedures, such as clean-ups and urgent patient transport. Maintain cleanliness and order of ICU and specialty unit environments, including stripping and making discharge beds. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.
