Job Summary: The Registered Nurse Transfer Center is responsible for evaluating and coordinating patient transfers into the health system. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with healthcare partners to determine appropriate level of care and transport of patients Evaluate and process medical information for patient transfers Communicate effectively between referring and receiving physicians and healthcare facilities Utilize problem-solving and customer service skills to determine best course of action for patients and hospitals Maintain a high level of professionalism and patient-centered mentality Anticipate and prioritize critical transfer issues Escalate concerns that require administrative judgment based on hospital policies and procedures Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient transfer Remain proficient in EMTALA and computer systems for excellent patient care Requirements: Associate's Degree in Nursing RN License in state of employment or compact BLS Benefits: The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
