Job Description This is a multifaceted role that combines outpatient pulmonary medicine, inpatient critical care, and consultative services. The successful candidate will join an established team of three physicians providing specialized pulmonary and critical care services to a diverse patient population in the Tri-Valley area. Key Responsibilities 36 patient contact hours per week (full-time) Outpatient pulmonary medicine at clinics in Pleasanton (primary) and Livermore (secondary) Inpatient ICU/Critical Care Medicine at Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital Inpatient pulmonary consultation service Interpretation of pulmonary function tests (PFTs) ICU coverage (6-8 weeks annually, scheduled in 1-week blocks) ICU night shifts (1.5 per month) and swing shifts (1-2 per month) Call schedule: 1:3 rotation for Pulmonary coverage Practice Environment The position offers a typical outpatient volume of 14-16 patients per day. You'll work closely with Stanford University School of Medicine Faculty physicians in a collaborative environment. There are also teaching opportunities available with Stanford Critical Care Fellows and Family Medicine Residents, with potential for an academic appointment.
