A Radiology Imaging Specialist plays a pivotal role in diagnostic imaging by assessing patient conditions, operating advanced imaging equipment, and maintaining precise patient records.
Job Responsibilities: Conduct radiographic examinations for patients of all ages using cutting-edge diagnostic imaging modalities.
Evaluate patient condition, operate complex imaging equipment, and maintain accurate patient records.
Maintain equipment, supplies, and medications to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with the departmental performance improvement program to enhance patient care.
Function as clinical instructors for students enrolled in the Radiologic Technology program, fostering expertise and knowledge.
Participate in quality assurance (QA) management, leveraging knowledge of Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to support QA initiatives.
Requirements: Hold an associate degree from an accredited radiologic technology school or equivalent.
Minimum one year of experience as an accredited technologist in a hospital setting.
Prior experience in Quality Assurance is highly valued.
Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association is mandatory.
Licensure as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)) is essential.
