Unit Description:

Emergency Department RNs provide professional nursing care to patients in varying state of health and illness by assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing plan of care. We are a 45 bed, Level I Trauma Center that offers the highest quality of care to our patients across all of Vermont and Northern New York. This position is part of a multidisciplinary team comprised of Physicians, Fellows/Residents, RNs, MHTs and ED Techs. RNs are trained to cover the Charge RN role and to precept.

Requirements

Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont required. The University of Vermont Health Network is moving toward an all Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) workforce. All external candidates hired into, or current employees promoted to, a RN position will be required to obtain their BSN as outlined in the terms of their offer letter. Appropriate experience in specific clinical area. Varies by unit.
