CDL-A Delivery Driver Job Summary As a CDL-A delivery driver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods to customers across the country. Inspect tractor-trailers for defects pre- and post-trip and submit DOT inspection reports as needed. Verify bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries. Drive tractor-trailers to destinations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and maneuvering vehicles on the road and customer premises. Maintain accurate driver logs according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipts, product temperatures, and exceptions. Unload trailers, delivering products into customer premises.
