Primary School Based Nurse Practitioner Provide primary care to clinic patients as allowed under the Louisiana Nurse Practice Act, practicing within the scope delineated by education/training. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in the development, execution, and periodic review of written policies governing services provided at the health center. They will also participate in the review of patient health records and arrange for or refer patients to needed services that cannot be provided on site. This role requires a full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini Hospital. The associate shall demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values, support the CHRISTUS St. Frances Cabrini's strategic plan, and contribute to the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP). Responsibilities: Collaborate with other healthcare providers, being accountable for knowledge of statutes and rules relating to advanced practice nursing and functioning within appropriate boundaries. Practice independently and/or in collaboration with the healthcare team in observation, assessment, diagnosis, intervention, evaluation, rehabilitation, care, counseling, and health teachings. Actively identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention/health promotion issues while administering quality patient care. Requirements: Current licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Nursing or licensed Physician Assistant by the Louisiana State Medical Board. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish or English/French preferred. Valid DEA license or ability to obtain one prior to employment. BLS obtained from the American Heart Association. Work schedule: 5 days - 8 hours. Work type: Full Time.
