Occupational Therapist Position This is a highly rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of school-aged children. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial part in providing coordinated Occupational therapy to meet the needs of students with physical and/or cognitive impairments.
The ideal candidate will have a Masters or PhD in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution and a current Active State License to practice Occupational Therapy in Alaska. A pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience are preferred.
The successful applicant will be able to work effectively as part of a team, demonstrating excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. They must also possess strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide coordinated Occupational therapy to school-aged children.
Evaluate occupational roles and occupational performance of students with physical and/or cognitive impairments.
Plan, implement, and evaluate interventions based on student deficits.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.

Requirements:
Masters or PhD in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
Current Active State License to practice Occupational Therapy in Alaska.
Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information.
Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
Responsive to requests.
Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance.
