Description: Registered Nurses will work in a fast-paced emergency room environment. Experience in an acute care setting is required. Candidates must have at least two years of experience in an emergency room. COVID immunization is not mandatory, but unvaccinated individuals must agree to weekly testing. Clinical interviews or auto-offers can be accommodated based on preference. An online Cardiac Rhythms test will be administered, along with the ESI Triage Exam during orientation. A passing score of 80% is required on the Cardiac Rhythms test. Travel experience or five or more years in a Level 1 Trauma Facility is highly preferred. The emergency room features 25 monitored beds, six fast treatment beds, and two trauma bays. There is a dedicated behavioral lockdown area for psychiatric patients. The average number of patient visits per day is approximately 140. Ratios within the department are 1 to 4. Nurses will initiate their own IVs and manage medication administration. A dedicated triage nurse is available in the department. Experience with ESI triage training is beneficial, though not mandatory. Prior experience using Alaris pumps is preferred. The emergency department is a designated center for trauma and stroke care. A comprehensive orientation will be provided to ensure comfort level adjustments in the new environment.
