Must-Have: General skills and work setting experience in ICU is required. Experience with adult to geriatric patient populations is necessary. Experience with high-acuity diagnoses such as ARDS, Sepsis, Stroke, DKA, and post-operative complications is preferred.
Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The patient population consists of adults and geriatrics. The unit's average daily census is 19 patients, with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3. Candidates should be prepared for the possibility of taking a third patient. Travelers will float within the facility as needed and should possess a flexible approach to scheduling. Mandatory certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIH. Compliance with all requirements is necessary to start the assignment on time. Travelers are expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. The role involves caring for critically ill patients with various complex medical conditions. Familiarity with electronic medical records and various hospital systems is advantageous. Team collaboration with interdisciplinary support services is essential in this role.
