Must-Have: Meditech experience required. Pediatric and adult experience required.
Description: Meditech experience is required with no exceptions. Pediatric and adult experience is mandatory. The contract length is 13 weeks. The schedule is 7 PM to 7:30 AM. Every other weekend is required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Floating to 4 medical units may be required. Candidates will float from the emergency department depending on needs. Nephrology, oncology, and general medical experiences are applicable. The facility requires the use of rapid response/code teams. Experience with endocrine/metabolic, gastrointestinal, genitourinary/renal skills is needed. Candidates must be skilled in intravenous therapy and phlebotomy. Knowledge of medications such as heparin, insulin, and PCA is necessary. Experience in neurological/psychiatric care for pre/post-neuro surgery is important. Orthopedic, plastic, and respiratory care skills are required. Wound care and wound vac experience are essential. Isolation precautions are necessary for all candidates. The patient ratio will be 1:6 in a 40-bed unit. All surgical patients except cardiac will be managed, including orthopedic, neuro, trauma, general surgery, and urology cases. Candidates must be comfortable with general pediatrics. Daily patient census ranges from 25 to 30. An interdisciplinary support team is available, including IV teams, physical therapy, and social services. Experience with lift systems and bariatric beds is advantageous.
