36-40 guaranteed hours per week; on-call required (1 shift per week and 2 weekend shifts per month); float within scope to meet facility needs; 40 hours orientation Highlights: Strong focus on robotics, orthopedic, and neurological surgery - must have demonstrated experience in these specialties High-volume operating room with 18 rooms and diverse case mix including Da Vinci Xi and Mako robotic systems Epic charting system preferred Teaching facility environment with opportunity to mentor students and new staff Daily census of 55 patients across adult and geriatric populations First-time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted Requirements: Active Florida RN license (pending licenses accepted) Minimum 2 years of direct Operating Room nursing experience required STRONG robotics, orthopedic, and neurological OR experience mandatory ACLS and BLS certifications required at time of submission NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start date 2 direct supervisor or manager references required Negative 10-panel drug screen plus nicotine/cotinine test required - this is a smoke-free facility with no exceptions COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only) Must pass EKG and pharmacy tests during orientation (2 attempts maximum) All time-off requests must be submitted upfront with application Why It's a Great Opportunity: This position offers the chance to work in a high-acuity, technology-forward operating room environment with extensive robotics capabilities across multiple specialties.
