Must-Have: Patient population includes adults and geriatrics. Experience with telemetry units and cardiac diagnoses. Ability to manage various cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration). Familiarity with Epic charting system required. Must be able to work every other weekend unless specified otherwise.
Description: The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in telemetry nursing. 1:4-5 patient ratio in a 16-room unit. Common patient diagnoses include CHF, MI, chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias, hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT. Responsibilities include monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The unit employs systems such as Epic for charting and medication administration. Candidates must be compliant with all requirements before starting the assignment. Availability to work one or two major holidays is expected. Floating within facility/scope of practice may be required as needed. Familiarity with rapid response/code teams and various nursing protocols is necessary. Travel experience is preferred but not required.
