Job Overview The CDL-A Local Driver plays a crucial role in our organization's success by safely transporting cargo to and from various destinations within proximity of our consolidation/distribution center. This driver is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods, which is vital for our business operations. Key Responsibilities Load and unload cargo using trailers and equipment efficiently. Perform various tasks, including check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and the pickup and delivery of cargo. Exercise independent judgment regarding the building and tearing down of trailers to optimize time, resources, energy, and physical demands. Other duties as assigned. Operate a forklift as needed. Requirements Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent. Experience: 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (candidates with less than 1 year experience may be eligible for training). Certifications: Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements, and no automatic restriction. Additional Requirements: Minimum 21 years of age. Good stable work record. Safe driving record. Ability to pass DOT pre-employment drug screen and meet DOT medical requirements.
