Raleigh General Hospital is a 300 bed facility caring for nearly 13,000 patients each year with over 50,000 being treated in our emergency room. We offer a wide range of surgical services as well as specialty programs including Cardiac CTA, Digital Mammography, and Trauma Services. Job Summary: Clinical coordination of the Inpatient Wound Care Program involves utilization of skills in organization, planning, implementing, evaluating, and providing care through use of hospital and nursing standards. Performs assessment and plans patient care. Evaluates the patient assessment, planning and intervention process. Demonstrates professional and personal development. Delivers direct patient care appropriate to the age of patient served. Responsibilities include assessing and diagnosing wounds, ostomies, and continence disorders, developing and implementing treatment plans, monitoring and evaluating patient progress, providing patient education on self-care and disease management, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care, staying up-to-date with the latest research and technology in wound, ostomy, and continence care, documenting patient progress and treatment plans accurately and thoroughly, and advocating for the needs and rights of patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence disorders. Qualifications: Requires a graduate degree in a discipline and current licensure by the WV State Board of Nursing. Preferably, a Bachelor's Degree and wound care certification. Two years of experience in wound, ostomy, and continence care are required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required within six months of employment.
