Overview of Unit/Department 900 Surgical is a 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) surgical patients. While in the clinical learning environment, will provide basic patient care under direction and supervision of clinical educator and nursing staff. During clinical rotation, may perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens and other duties within their scope of practice as directed. While in clinical setting, obtains information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff or clinical educator and reports any changes in patient condition.
