Overview:

The Charge Registered Nurse utilizing theoretical concepts as a basis for decisions in practice will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in accordance with standards of nursing practice.

Responsibilities include conducting timely and systematic patient assessments, developing and updating outcome-oriented care plans, providing professional nursing care and delegating tasks appropriately, evaluating the effectiveness of care and education, and maintaining effective, accurate, and confidential communication. This involves involving patients and significant others in the care process, performing procedures, documenting progress, and ensuring all communication and documentation adhere to organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications: Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school Experience: 3+ experience in Critical Care RN setting License: Current RN license in our state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
