About this Role Provide exceptional care to pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures in a surgical unit setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the perioperative process. Key Responsibilities: Practice independently, utilizing a systematic approach to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care. Administer medications and treatments, monitor for side-effects, and document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided. Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on healthcare needs and provide resources. Maintain awareness of clinical situations, manage contingencies, and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed. Demonstrate expertise in patient assessment, post-operative care, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications and Skills: Registered Nurse licensure. Experience in pediatric surgical nursing or related field. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic life support certification.
