Nurse Professional Job Description: Delivers patient care by utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation. Provides skilled nursing care that meets or exceeds the standards of quality as outlined in our policies and procedures. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families. Administers medications and treatments; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Requirements Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred. At least one year of experience in a related nursing specialty is preferred. CPR certification required. Active RN license in state of employment or compact required. Attends New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire. Is precepted by a designated trained staff member and initial onboarding requirements are validated through successful completion of designated organizational entry competency validation and Perinatal Services-specific competency validation. Completion of all annual competency verification requirements. Current certification from Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Instructor, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) is required. Current NRP and ACLS certifications are required. Work Schedule 7PM - 7AM
