Lactation Care Specialist

Job Title: Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant The role of the Registered Nurse Lactation Consultant is to provide expert lactation support and education to breastfeeding mothers and infants. This includes assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care to ensure optimal breastfeeding outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Educate mothers on proper breastfeeding techniques and infant feeding cues.
Develop and implement personalized care plans to support breastfeeding success.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to empower families to meet their breastfeeding goals.
Document all interactions, assessments, and care provided in accordance with hospital policies and patient privacy regulations.
Requirements:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred
In-depth knowledge of lactation practices, breastfeeding management, and maternal-infant health required
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
RN License in the state of employment or compact required
IBCLC certification required
BLS required
Work Schedule and Type:
7AM - 7PM, Full Time
