About the Role:
As a Lead Medical Assistant, manages clinical support staff to proactively respond to the needs of patients and physicians. Under direct supervision of physician, performs a variety of clinical responsibilities to assist in the examination and treatment of patients. Works proactively and in partnership with other staff contributing to effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides assistance and preparation prior to and during examination by healthcare providers.
Prepares examination/treatment rooms for examinations of patients by properly positioning instruments, equipment and supplies.
Interviews patients to obtain reasons for visit such as nature of complaint, physical problems, symptoms of illness, etc.
Manages clinical support staff.
Requirements:
Education:  HS Diploma/GED preferred, Graduate of medical assistant curriculum or equivalent.
Certification/Licensure:  American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR
Experience: 1 to 3 years of medical assistant and leadership experience
