Lead Radiation Therapist

Description: RESPONSIBLE FOR: Performing tumor localizations and administering ionizing radiation for infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients as prescribed by the supervising physician. Serving as mentor for newly hired and staff therapist, coordinating completion of weekly chart checks and organization of supplies and immobilization devices, maintaining patient treatment schedule, participating in quality improvement initiatives, assisting in the implementation of new technology.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Graduation from an ARRT accredited radiation therapy program. Registration in radiation therapy with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. CPR certified.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Three years of experience as a radiation therapist.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW: None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree preferred.
