We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Physician Assistant for a 100-day locum tenens position at a Multi-Specialty Clinic in California. This assignment begins on 03/31/2025 and offers a varied schedule from Tuesday to Saturday. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with typical pediatric outpatient work, including managing cough, fever, feeding issues, conducting annual physicals, and administering immunizations. The patient population primarily consists a mix of scheduled visits and some walk-ins for acute symptoms. This role requires expertise in pediatric care and the ability to work effectively in a diverse community setting.

Schedule: Tuesday (10am-7pm), Wednesday-Friday (8am-4:30pm), Saturday (9am-3pm)

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Conduct pediatric outpatient visits for both acute and routine care 

• Perform annual physicals and developmental screenings 

• Administer and manage immunization schedules 

• Diagnose and treat common pediatric conditions such as cough, fever, and feeding issues 

• Provide patient and family education on child health, nutrition, and preventive care 

• Manage walk-in patients with acute symptoms 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using eClinicalWorks EHR 

• Collaborate with other healthcare providers in a multi-specialty setting 

• Ensure culturally competent care for first-generation Latinx families 

• Stay current with the latest developments in pediatric care 

• Adhere to all clinic protocols and safety standards 

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed

Additional Information: 

• California Physician Assistant license required 

• Pediatric experience or certification preferred 

• Experience working with diverse patient populations is a plus 

• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EHR system is advantageous
