A medical facility in New York is seeking a skilled Cardiologist for a locum tenens assignment through Barton Associates. This 12-day opportunity is split across two periods: June 30 to July 5, 2025, and August 25 to September 1, 2025 (excluding weekends). The schedule consists of 8 AM to 5 PM shifts on weekdays. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing a variety of cardiac cases, with a focus on both acute and general cardiology in a Coronary Care Unit (CCU) setting.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

- Manage patients in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

- Handle a variety of acute cardiac conditions including heart attack recovery, unstable angina, heart failure exacerbations, and arrhythmias

- Provide post-cardiac intervention management

- Conduct cardiology consultations for inpatient cases

- Evaluate patients with chest pain, heart murmurs, hypertension, arrhythmias, and syncope

- Perform pre-operative cardiac evaluations

- Read and interpret cardiac studies, including EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests

- Develop and implement treatment plans for CCU patients

- Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to care

- Recommend appropriate diagnostic tests and treatments

- Utilize Meditech EHR for patient management and record-keeping

- Experience in both acute and general cardiology required

- Strong background in CCU patient management

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting various cardiac studies

- Comfort with high-acuity cardiac cases
