A facility is seeking a thoracic surgeon for locum tenens coverage.
While on assignment in Central Missouri, enjoy fun outdoor activities including the City Museum, the Missouri Botanical Garden, or the STL Zoo!
The hospital performs approximately 300 CABG procedures, 100 valve surgeries, and 400500 pump cases annually, with occasional aneurysm cases. There are two permanent surgeons on staff, and while robotics experience is a bonus, a vascular team handles all vascular cases. The average heart surgery volume is 13 cases per day, depending on case complexity. The facility has two operating rooms and holds clinic one day a week (Tuesday or Thursday), with APPs providing support in clinic. NPs assist in the OR but also manage their own clinic work. Surgeons are expected to take call on their own patients, and the facility is seeking providers ready to take on cases rather than transfer them out.
