Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Asheville, NC. This position offers urgent coverage needs, cross-credentialing at multiple facilities, and competitive compensation in a Level 2 Trauma Center with high patient volume.

Opportunity Details:

• Location: Asheville, NC (Cross-Credentialing at 10+ Affiliated Facilities)
• Contract Type: Emergency Medicine Physician Locum Tenens
• Start Date: ASAP (Urgent Coverage Needed)
• Shift Schedule:
  • Night Shifts Available
  • 10-12 Hour Shift Options (Varies by Facility)
• APP Coverage:
  • Mission Hospital: 70 hours per day
  • Other Facilities: 10-12 hours per day
• Minimum Commitment: Flexible
• Practice Setting: Physician-led Emergency Departments
• Facility Details:
  • Main Hospital: 90 ED Beds, Annual Volume >100k
  • Regional Facilities: <14 Beds, Annual Volume <25k
  • Level 2 Trauma Center
  • Admitting Orders: ED Physicians write only the admission order (not treatment orders), and only at night for regional facilities
• EMR System: Cerner
• Scribe System: Dragon Dictation
• Temp Privileges: Available for clean files

Patient Load & Flow:

• Patients Per Hour: 2-3

Provider Requirements:

• Certification: ABEM Board Certified
• Licensure: Active & Unrestricted NC State License & DEA
