Opportunity Snapshot

• Location: Augusta, GA

• Contract Type: Locum Tenens – Emergency Medicine (MD/DO)

• Duration: Ongoing, strong potential for extension

• Schedule:

  • 6 Physician shifts per day

  • 5 APP shifts per day

  • 20 shifts per month coverage needed (flexible scheduling available)

• Shift Times (MD):

  • 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM

  • 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • 6:00 PM – 2:00 AM

  • 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM

• Shift Times (APP):

  • 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

  • 5:00 PM – 3:00 AM

  • 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM

• Patient Volume: ~54,000 annual visits

• Patients per Hour: ~1.6

• ED Beds: 30, plus PIT area and sub-waiting area

• Admitting Orders: Not required

• Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center

• EMR: Meditech

Provider Requirements

• Active Georgia Medical License

• Board Certified – ABEM only

• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Medicine experience post-residency

• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications
