This opportunity features a low-volume patient census, no procedural duties, and a supportive hospital system where the ED takes point on all initial emergencies and code responses.

Position Overview:

• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM onsite + on-call after 5:00 PM

• Provider must remain in-house overnight

• Average Daily Census: 8 patients per day

• No procedures required

• No vents in-house

• ED responds to all codes and emergencies before hospitalist

• Cerner EMR platform

• ED-first protocol for incoming admits

Candidate Requirements:

• Active Texas Medical License & Unrestricted DEA

• ACLS, ATLS, PALS required

• Minimum of 9 hours of trauma-related CMEs/year

• ABEM/AOBEM preferred; FM/IM with ED experience accepted
