About The Position
Flexible Gastroenterology Locums Opportunity in Illinois
Seeking a Gastroenterologist for a rewarding locums assignment in Illinois. This interim role offers significant schedule control, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with your personal schedule and goals.
Highlights
- Choose your commitment: work a minimum of 10 shifts per month or up to full-time.
- Focus on procedures with dedicated APP support available in the clinic.
- This is an ongoing assignment providing consistent, shift-based work.
Practice Setting
- Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
- Work includes GI lab procedures, clinic coverage, and inpatient rounding.
- The patient population is primarily adult (90%).
Schedule
- Coverage is needed for Monday-Friday shifts.
- Shared weeknight pager call is required for this role.
- Assignments are available starting this fall and continuing on an ongoing basis.
Procedures and Cases
- Perform a range of procedures in the GI lab, including colonoscopies and EGDs.
- ERCPs are also part of the case mix.
- Anticipated volume is 10-14 procedures per day.
Requirements
- Must hold an active Illinois state license.
- Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Gastroenterology.
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA, and CSR.
Credentialing Requirements
- Our team provides full credentialing support for this temporary assignment.
- The credentialing process takes approximately 60 days to complete.
Travel Accommodations
- Travel and lodging are provided for the duration of the assignment.
- Malpractice insurance is included with full coverage.
