Flexible Gastroenterology Locums Opportunity in Illinois

Seeking a Gastroenterologist for a rewarding locums assignment in Illinois. This interim role offers significant schedule control, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with your personal schedule and goals.

Highlights

• Choose your commitment: work a minimum of 10 shifts per month or up to full-time.
• Focus on procedures with dedicated APP support available in the clinic.
• This is an ongoing assignment providing consistent, shift-based work.

Practice Setting

• Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.
• Work includes GI lab procedures, clinic coverage, and inpatient rounding.
• The patient population is primarily adult (90%).

Schedule

• Coverage is needed for Monday-Friday shifts.
• Shared weeknight pager call is required for this role.
• Assignments are available starting this fall and continuing on an ongoing basis.

Procedures and Cases

• Perform a range of procedures in the GI lab, including colonoscopies and EGDs.
• ERCPs are also part of the case mix.
• Anticipated volume is 10-14 procedures per day.

Requirements

• Must hold an active Illinois state license.
• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (within 5 years) in Gastroenterology.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA, and CSR.

Credentialing Requirements

• Our team provides full credentialing support for this temporary assignment.
• The credentialing process takes approximately 60 days to complete.

Travel Accommodations

• Travel and lodging are provided for the duration of the assignment.
• Malpractice insurance is included with full coverage.
