About the Role: The Transfer Center Registered Nurse plays a pivotal part in patient transfers into our system. Responsibilities: Provide exceptional customer service to various stakeholders Maintain high professionalism at all times Display patient-centered attitude Anticipate and prioritize critical transfer issues Evaluate concerns and barriers according to hospital policies Accept new assignments and perform additional duties professionally Collaborate with team members for efficient transfers using established protocols Stay updated on current and future transfer requests Work closely with supervisors to understand daily capacity and patient flow Remain proficient in EMTALA regulations Utilize organizational and prioritization skills for multiple complex tasks Develop problem-solving skills for quick decision-making Maintain proficiency in computer systems and databases for excellent patient care Respond to callers using computer systems and databases Familiarity with transfer center software Awareness of hospital's medical staff, services, and special programs Collaborate with team members to maintain standard call lists Regularly update service availability and contact information Stay informed about new physician/service changes Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent RN License in state of employment or compact BLS Certification
