Job Summary: The RN Wound Care assesses, treats, and monitors patients with various types of wounds, such as pressure ulcers, surgical incisions, or diabetic ulcers. This role involves collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote optimal wound healing and prevent complications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate wound types and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Apply dressings, wound vac systems, and other advanced wound care modalities.
- Educate patients on wound prevention, proper care, and nutrition.
- Track healing progress and revise care plans as needed.
- Coordinate with physicians, dietitians, and physical therapists for comprehensive management.
