Job Title: Gastroenterologist Profession: Physician Specialty: Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Duration: Permanent Shift: Day - 8x5 - 09AM Hours per Shift: 16 Experience: Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3 years of residency License: California license required Certifications: - ACLS - BLS Must-Have: Fellowship in Gastroenterology Description: We are seeking a Gastroenterologist to join our team. This position requires performing various gastrointestinal procedures. Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy and foreign body removal is required. Fulguration of bleeder is also required, but the injection of varices is not. ERCP is preferred for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. PEG insertion and management of a Sengstaken/Blakemore tube are required. Esophageal dilatation and manometry are preferred, with interpretation required. Small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, and colonoscopy with biopsy are required. Colonoscopy with polyp excision is also required. Endoscopic ultrasound and liver biopsy are preferred. Candidates should be willing to obtain the necessary licensure. Orientation will include a total of 675 hours. Credentialing timeframe is estimated to be around 90 days. The facility is classified as a trauma level 3.
